Oil paint on canvas

This series of portraits is inspired by the many elements, colors, and textures found in our environment. The faces you see are not based on any one particular person. During the creative process I allow the features of each face to morph and change as the painting develops which lets the viewer see whomever their mind wants to see.

Pen Ink on Paper

These pieces are done intuitively with no plan in place. The choice of what shape to make and where to shade are made in a split second one right after the other. The images have no clear stopping point and are only done when the choice is made to stop.

Mixed Media

These mannequin forms are inspired by the movement of dancers and the color and shapes found in plants and flowers. The composition is made with oil paint to create texture. The images are then scanned digitally and refined. This opens the door to explore multiple color combinations.
